hedge is getting edgy - it's time to go back to college & that little spiked beast is cruising all over the joint. of course, he ususally aims for me! L. can't even stop him.
she's afraid she might ruin her look if he gets too close. you know, a spike hanging off the nose of a basset isn't exactly high fashion (at least not this year). dear me, dad, did you hafta get him out??

i'm bringing in reinforcements!...Maggie the Boston Terrier (or Boston Terror, if you're a hedge hog!)
Maggie is visiting from PA & technically the this tiny hound is our "aunt" - oh, please! are you confused yet? well, *she's* not afraid of Hedge!
of course, they did put him back in his plastic roller dome. come here, you...i know you're in there...

I bet they'll be happy when "hedge" is gone.Poor babies.......
they will, but i won't...because if hedge is gone, that means Baby Girl is too! but i am so glad to see her become the beautiful young woman she is! look for more maggie very soon ;)
Did I ever tell you our hedgehog story?
P picked one up on the side of the road one night and brought it home. He left it in a (humane) box in the kitchen that he *thought* was appropriately sealed.
Then we started hearing weird noises from upstairs (the bedroom is two floors down from the kitchen).
Well when P got up to see what was going on, it turns out that the riccio was coming down to visit us--but it slid off of one of the (open) steps (probably scared of the downstairs noise) and ended up falling through them, nearly clipping P's head on the way down. He (the hedgehog) landed with a thump *way* too close to where I was sleeping, but he was fine thank goodness.
P was a bit shaken up though, as I tried to muffle my laughter....
Needless to say, P returned the hedgehog to where he had found him the next day.
And that's why I have a pet hedgehog on my site (roberta the riccio) :)
