egg-ceptional hounds...

oh. no. not another holiday photo shooti don't care how many treats you disguise, this activity is getting old. it seems someone is forever balancing something on my head or nose. but is that enough? certainly not! there must also be the added humiliation of photo ops for the occasion.honestly i am starting to dread the prospects of the 4th of july. will they balance a lit firecracker on my head?? probably not because mom has a serious fire phobia, lucky for me! back to the present...this particular holiday was a bit sweeter for me. why, you ask...well, because someone got the bright idea to stick a treat in the plastic Easter egg. ok by me...as long as they remember to extricate it for me...you know, lack of opposable thumbs & all that.

but that's not all! what could be sweeter than a treat? uh. huh. they decided to torture L. too!!but of course, she doesn't have quite the talent i do...they could only do half an egg on her noggin.(insert sibling rivalry banter here) L. the egg head!

ok, mom! enough of this...i can smell that treat.drop it...drop it.pretty please! double begging...oh yeah!here it comes...it was worth it & i'm not egg-xaggerating!

hounds in motion...

what do i spy??...hmmmmm...motion on the dog bed! L. is on the move...last weekend we could barely move L. from her sunbeam...but tonight, not so!that hound is on fire!!could it possibly have something to do with mom's dangling dog treat??...yep, i'm quite sure it does...look at her go!she is not to be stopped...did she catch it?...stay tuned for part II of hounds in motion!

oh yeah, i almost forgot...mom said we are on blogging hiatus until after Easter. a blessed Easter from everyone here at dog blog!

the not-so-elusive L...

L. claims to have been highly neglected on the blog of late. she has even threatened to remove the 's' in dogs from our domain name.

doesn't she need opposible thumbs to do that?? i'm not so sure that she could manage much of anything with those nails of hers...mom is waaaaaay behind on a good old fashioned nail clippin' & do you know why? update your memory here! but i digress...

today, in the warmth of the morning sunbeams, i decided to bow-wow to L. & give her a shout-out. i mean...look at her, laying pathetically in the background...that poor, poor neglected thing.hey, you! we're ready for your close-up!that's right...you!smile!what?? no smile?c'mon L. it's no use...she's under the influence of the sunbeam, folks!
